Short characters with stubby limbs offered many practical challenges as to how these characters would interact with their world… or ya know, put on a hat. a finely calibrated level of cartoony-ness was devised to allow the characters to overcome the limitation of their squat statures and giant heads in an otherwise mostly restrained animation style.
